Detunings builds a spatial installation based upon somatic perceptions of needs arising and resolving in a room inhabited by materials, humans, objects, natural forces like gravity or light, all treated as having equal agency in becoming a key "push" that changes the arrangement of space in a specific moment according to what it needs. The artist inhabits the gallery during the exhibition and keeps rearranging the installation in accordance to the needs of these entities also living there. The work is interested in choreography of space and objects, psychosomatic qualities of materials, chance and happenstance, improvisation and agency of materials/objects. Detunings grow out of events layering their traces in a room.
